Spread the Dough

No Loaf Left Behind

What We Are Up To

New Location:

We are very excited to mention the opening of a new chapter! Recently we have started operating in Bryn Mawr, PA. We pick the bread up from The Bakery House and deliver it to the near by church!

Residents Picking Up Bread:

BIG NEWS! We have just started a new element to our venture! The residents of the homeless shelter in our New Hampshire location have gone to pick up the bread weekly. They wear our t-shirts as a uniform and go at a specific time weekly across the street to the bakery and bring the bread back to the shelter. This is an aspect of Spread the Dough we hope to make a part of our other chapters as well in the future.

501c3 Tax Exempt Status:
As of right now, Spread the Dough is working with Alison, a lawyer who agreed to help us pro bono, to achieve tax-exempt status. Once we have become a registered 501c3 we will be able to collect donations from larger companies such as Panera Breads and Trader Joes locations across the country. We suspect to be a registered non-profit come fall of '09.

Incorporating:
Alison has also kindly agreed to help Spread the Dough become a corporation as well. Because we suspect we will grow much larger once we have become a 501c3, we will eventually need to become incorporated. For the sake of making things much easier, we decided to file to become incorporated sooner rather than later.

T SHIRTS:
Right now Spread the Dough is selling shirts for $15 a piece! To order one, contact me at melinahiggins@gmail.com
